Regional Vice President Network Operations (Health Services Area)
Description:
Responsible for leading all provider contracting, utilization management, and quality improvement for a specific health service area.
Essential duties to include but are not limited to:
  • Accountable for the medical cost of care results for all company business within the health service area.
  • Establishes significant external relationships with hospital CEO's, key provider groups, and local business leaders to foster working relationships and build partnerships.
  • Will assist with negotiations with larger hospital systems and organized medical groups.
  • Sets the strategy, rates and direction for all provider contracting including hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing, home health and DME.
  • Works with the local medical directors and nurse managers directing the medical mgmt and quality activities of the health service area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Requirements:
  • Requires an MBA or MHA with 8-10 years of increasingly responsible positions within the insurance and managed care industries, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills needed.
  • Negotiation skills required.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives essential.
  • Exceptional leadership skills required.
